Use Find
All Interactions to find all listed interactions for a single drug or
food.
To create
a regimen to search multiple drug-drug and/or drug-food interactions,
use the Create a regimen search.
NOTE:
Only
interactions that are cited in the product package inserts are included
in the search results. Interactions with inactive ingredients are
not included. Check prescribing information for details. |
Search
Click the
Interactions tab and look for Find all interactions for this
drug or food located on the left side of the page:
- Select
within: Click the arrow in the drop-down box, then select Drug
or Food.
- Type
the food or drug name in the textbox and click the Search button.
- If your
search term has multiple matches, click to select the food or brand
name for clarification.
- The
resulting interactions list displays: an Interaction Summary, Drug-Drug
Interactions, and Drug-Food Interactions. Navigate to any Category using
the links in the sidebar on the left side of the page.
- Print
the interactions list, create a regimen using this drug or food, or
open the full document for this drug.

Names
Click the
Interactions tab and look for Find all interactions for this
drug or food located on the left side of the page.
- Select
to search for interactions for a Drug or a Food: Click the arrow in
the drop-down box, then select Drug or Food.
- Click
the Browse Names button.
- Click
the first letter of the drug or food to view the list.
- If your
selection has multiple matches, click to select the food or brand name
for clarification.
- Print
the interactions list, create a regimen using this drug or food, or
open the full document for this drug.

interaction types.
Click Drug-Drug Interactions
or Drug-Food Interactions to view the list of interactions. From
the list of interactions, clicking a hyperlinked drug or food allows you
to choose to: add the drug or food to a regimen (Add This to Regimen),
Find a list of Interactions, or open the document (Find Document
- Find Document is available for drugs only).
Click Create A Regimen to use this food or drug in a regimen.
Click Find Document to open the full document for this drug or food. |

to search multiple drug-drug and/or drug-food interactions, use the Create
a regimen search.

Search
To access the
Find All Interactions Search:
- Select Interactions
from the navigation bar.
- Select to
Search within: Drugs or Foods for interaction information.
- Type the drug
name (generic or brand name) or food in the For this name: box then
click Search.
If you would prefer to browse all entries alphabetically, rather than typing
the drug or food name, use the Browse Names search
method.
To remove all selections and start over, click the Clear button.
- If your search
term has multiple matches, you must select the generic or brand name (or food
type) for clarification.
For example: A search for 'Warfarin' - returns the generic: WARFARIN SODIUM
and the brand: Warfarin Sodium USP (Taro) as possible matches.
If you select the generic WARFARIN SODIUM, you will be presented with the
brand names Coumadin for Injection, Coumadin Tablets, and Warfarin Sodium
Tablet USP. Subsets of the search results will continue to display until you
have selected a drug by brand name.
Searching within a Food can result in the same subsets. For example, a search
for 'grapefruit' returns Grapefruit and Grapefruit Juice.
- The Interaction
Summary for the drug or food is displayed. Using the links in the sidebar
on the left, you can jump to the Drug-Drug Interactions or Drug-Food Interactions
section of the document.
Click Create A Regimen to add this drug or food to a list of drugs
and/or foods for interaction calculation.
Click Find Document to open the full document from PDR Suite for this
product (not available for foods).

this page, you can also: return to the Home page, Print this
interaction information, or view Help
Browse
Names
To access the
Find All Interactions Search:

Select Interactions from the navigation bar.
- Select to
Search within: Drugs or Foods for interaction information and click
the Browse Names button.
- Click the
first letter of the drug or food.
- If
you selected to search for Drugs:
You will be
presented with a page that displays all drugs alphabetically by the generic
name (shown in all capital letters) or brand name (shown upper- and lower-case
letters).
Select a brand name and you will go directly to the interactions for that
drug.
Select a generic name and you will go to a list of brand names for the generic.
From this list, select the brand name to open the interactions list for that
drug.
If you selected to search for Foods:
You will be presented with a page that displays all foods alphabetically.
Select the food to open the interactions list for that food.

the Interactions List you can:
- View the Summary, Drug-Drug, and Drug-Food interaction information
or
- From the sidebar:
Jump to the Drug-Drug Interactions section (if searching drugs); or
to Drug-Food Interactions section
or
- Click:
Create a Regimen to create a list of drugs and/or foods to calculate
interactions using this drug or food as an entry in the regimen;
or
Find Document to open the PDR Suite document (not available for foods)
or
- Return to the Home page, Print this interaction information,
or view Help
